The hidden foundation of the mission

The apostolate depends on Christ moving hearts. A prayer fellowship brings people, their questions and the work of the Church before God. It gives thanks, asks for grace and carries burdens together. This prayer has value in itself: it unites people in faith and gives daily life a settled place for recollection.

A small fellowship can begin in a family, parish or circle of friends. People living apart can also agree on a common prayer time. Choose a rhythm members can sustain. A Rosary on a particular evening or an Hour of the Divine Office can become the familiar centre of a week. Newcomers should know what is prayed and how to take part.

Agree on a shared order of prayer

Start with a manageable form: five decades of the traditional Rosary, an Hour of the Roman Breviary, a novena or guided meditation. Catholon provides prayer texts, meditation images and multilingual readers. Link the same resources in the group's materials so everyone can follow. A short introduction especially helps those new to the prayer.

Use the workspace to agree on time, place and order. Collect prayer intentions as contributions and discuss preparation in the forum. Members can share responsibility for leading, organising the next meeting and selecting a reading. Include personal information in an intention only to the extent the person concerned wants it shared within the group. Prayer joins concern for others with discretion.

Become constant and welcome others

The calendar helps a first meeting become a lasting habit. Add recurring dates and export them to a personal calendar. Use the group chat for brief arrangements; texts, intentions and preparations remain accessible in the workspace. For an online meeting, the meeting link is available to group members.

A fellowship can accompany a particular apostolic undertaking: a talk, a literature stand or people a member is in conversation with. Bring these intentions into prayer and share developments with care. Outward activity and the interior life then remain connected. New members can begin simply by praying and later accept a small responsibility.
